The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it is actually alarmed regarding the large number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high website variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The service level produced for intervention encounters a large influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it complicated to the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to allow the servicing of all consumers and improve use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
